We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

Based in Franklands Village in Haywards Heath,  the 1st Haywards Heath are a thriving and active Scout Group, which offers Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to around 70 young people aged 6-14 from Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. Each section runs a full and exciting programme of activities.

Founded in 1908, we are one of the oldest Scout Groups in the world – we even have our own WW2 air raid siren from when our Scouts helped out during the war!

Our Scout Group has a dedicated leadership team who produce exciting, varied and dynamic programmes for the young people in Haywards Heath, teaching life skills as well as having plenty of fun along the way! We hold regular term-time weekly meetings at our purpose-built Scout hut, as well as sleepovers, camping trips and day trips. We love taking young people on adventures, teaching them new skills, and watching them make new friends and grow in confidence.
